Privacy Policy

Overview

Mantis is a trading journal app for iOS. Your trade data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your trading records, positions, emotions, or notes. No account is required to use Mantis.

Data we collect

We collect limited, anonymous usage data to improve the app and website:

• Analytics (Firebase / Google Analytics): Aggregate, anonymized data such as page views, session duration, and feature usage. No personal identifiers or trading data are included.
• Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): Device type, iOS version, and crash stack traces to help us fix bugs. No trading data is included in crash reports.

Your trade data

All trade records, journal entries, screenshots, P&L data, and emotional states you log in Mantis are stored exclusively on your device using local storage. We have no access to this data. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Subscriptions

Mantis Premium is available as an in-app purchase managed by Apple. We do not process or store your payment information. Subscription management, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple according to their Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

• Google Analytics / Firebase: Anonymous usage analytics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store: Subscription and purchase management. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data retention and deletion

Because your trade data never leaves your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing app data or uninstalling Mantis. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Google for up to 26 months per their standard data retention settings.

Children's privacy

Mantis is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of Mantis after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
